HARARE, ZIMBABWE - The Zimbabwean Business Council – UAE (ZIBCO) is pleased to officially announce that premier hospitality giant Rainbow Tourism Group (RTG) has joined the Council as a Corporate Member. The induction marks a significant step forward in deepening private-sector engagement, tourism promotion, and cross-border commercial links between Zimbabwe and the United Arab Emirates.

The corporate membership follows high-level strategic engagements held during a recent working visit to Zimbabwe by ZIBCO Chairman Simba Makahamadze, where he met with RTG Chief Executive Officer Tendai Madzivanyika alongside members of the RTG executive leadership team.

The bilateral discussions focused on structured frameworks for collaboration between ZIBCO and RTG, establishing strategic avenues to position Zimbabwe’s hospitality and leisure assets within the GCC, and identifying operationally viable trade and investment opportunities spanning the UAE–Zimbabwe business corridor.

As one of Southern Africa’s most distinguished hospitality and tourism brands, RTG brings extensive operational capability, destination infrastructure, and cross-market experience into the ZIBCO corporate ecosystem. The collaboration aims to leverage the UAE as a global commercial hub to drive high-value inbound business and leisure travel, elevate Zimbabwean destination visibility across the Middle East, and foster strategic alliances with regional travel trade partners and investors.

"Welcoming Rainbow Tourism Group into the Zimbabwean Business Council is a milestone in our mission to connect Zimbabwe’s leading corporate players with international networks in the UAE and wider GCC region," said Simba Makahamadze, Chairman of ZIBCO.
"Our discussions with CEO Tendai Madzivanyika and his executive team underscored a mutual commitment to actionable commercial growth. Tourism and hospitality serve as natural catalysts for wider trade, and through this partnership, we aim to bridge market access, facilitate diaspora tourism, and unlock tangible value across both economies."

Through this corporate membership, ZIBCO and RTG will pursue joint initiatives, executive roundtables, and targeted trade-linkage platforms designed to showcase Zimbabwe's tourism investment potential to institutional and private investors across the GCC.
