DUBAI, UAE — 29 July 2026 — The Zimbabwean Business Council UAE (ZIBCO) is pleased to welcome DFP World Group as its official Strategic Partner, a milestone that bears testament to the Council’s continued efforts to highlight ZIBCO as the premier catalyst for UAE–Zimbabwe business growth while creating lasting value for members and partners.

With a Representative Office in Dubai, DFP World Group is a small but leading, AI-empowered operator in African travel retail, duty-free operations, and frontier market logistics. With Africa at the heart of its strategy, and a growing continental footprint that includes Duty Free Stores Zimbabwe (Private) Limited, the group specializes in engineering bonded supply chains, luxury retail, and high-impact infrastructure across Africa’s key trade corridors. Critically, it has mastered the cold chain for temperature-sensitive travel-retail products such as chocolate and confectionery, delivering with precision in markets where cold-chain failure is the norm, not the exception, while extending its reach into Indochina.

Notably, DFP World’s premium duty-free retail operations will serve Zimbabwe’s key international airports, delivering world-class shopping experiences at both Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport in Harare and Victoria Falls International Airport.

“We are delighted to welcome DFP World Group as our Strategic Partner,” stated ZIBCO Chairman Simba Makahamadze. “DFP World Group’s deep operational expertise in duty-free retail, international distribution, and regulatory alignment in emerging markets makes them an exciting collaborator to have as a member and partner to the Council. Their confidence in Zimbabwe’s economic trajectory also sends a powerful signal to the broader international business community in the UAE.”
Matin Agha Mohammadi Saluth, Chief Executive Officer of DFP World Group, said: “Zimbabwe represents one of southern Africa’s most dynamic markets for business opportunities. Beyond its strategic geographical position as a regional transit hub, the nation boasts an exceptionally resilient, highly educated talent pool that demonstrates a growing demand for world-class retail and travel infrastructure.”
“Our commitment to Zimbabwe through Duty Free Stores Zimbabwe (Private) Limited is built on a long-term vision. We believe that by partnering with the Zimbabwean Business Council in Dubai, we are bridging two dynamic markets — leveraging Dubai’s global trade ecosystem to unlock transformative growth and sustainable economic value inside Zimbabwe,” he added.

The partnership underscores ZIBCO’s dedicated mandate to position Zimbabwe as a premier destination for international capital, while supporting UAE-licensed businesses, diaspora entrepreneurs, and global operators expanding into Southern Africa.
