Dubai-based Zimbabwean Business Council (ZIBCO) Appoints New Board of Directors to lead the Council’s ongoing mandate in the UAE
The newly restructured Board adds Emirati Board Member and Offshore Board Member seats for enhanced strategic alignment and strengthened relations
Dubai, UAE - 28 January 2025 – The Zimbabwean Business Council in Dubai, a non-profit entity licensed under Dubai Chambers and mandated to promote bilateral trade between the UAE and Zimbabwe while supporting and representing the business interests of its members in the UAE and offshore, is pleased to announce the appointment of its new Board of Directors. This dynamic team brings a wealth of experience and expertise to guide the Council in its ongoing mission to advance economic growth and collaboration between Zimbabwe and the UAE.
The Board members are:

● Thando Magumise – Director - Events & Programs

● Brian Zhanda – Director - Marketing

● Mohammed Al Qurashi – Board Member
● Prechard Mhako – Board Member
Mohammed Al Qurashi’s appointment marks a significant milestone as the first Emirati Board Member for the Zimbabwean Business Council, further solidifying the Council's commitment to fostering strong UAE-Zimbabwe relations. Prechard Mhako, Partner at Baker Tilly Capital and based in Zimbabwe, will bring valuable insights and connections from the ground, enhancing the Council's impact within the Zimbabwean market.

In an introductory visit to the UAE Embassy to Zimbabwe in Harare, Prechard Mhako asserted: “With our collective aim to create an enabling entity that facilitates trade and investment ties through our membership base, working in tandem with Dubai Chambers’ strategy to strengthen bilateral trade and investment between Dubai and Zimbabwe, our call as members of this robust organisation is to position and promote ZIBCO as the premier catalyst for Zimbabwe-UAE business growth.”
